a person knows my IMEI number and threatens me that he would chase my other number if i
change. please tell me how one can come to know anybody’s IMEI number without being in touch
of the phone. i am in a big troubble and need ur help urgently.please help me sir.please

akanksha arora . its is for you. your IMEI can be know to somebody in two ways. 1. by directly looking it from below the battery or by typing *#06* in you phone. 2. the second method is that if he knows your cell number which you are using, and if he requests your IMEI from your service operator(whos sim you are using) they can illegaly give your IMEI to somebody. usually they will never give it to unauthorized persons. except someone from intelligence agency etc. so the person who is threatning u might have some friend in the network operator and he might have got it. but u shud change the phone and the sim both. and keep it from him.. thats it

On dated 23/08/2010 at about 8:15pm, I was going alone towards my Office situated at Sadaf Complex Cantt: Saddar Hyderabad, when i was reached near at gul centre saddar hyderabad by walk, while in the way suddenly (3) Three unknown persons came on motorcycle, one of them culprit having armed with pistol by showing & pointed upon me pistol snatached one nokia made mobile phone model no. 6120 Classic IMEI No # 354846025476779, Sim No. 03013610511, looted one citizen watch Rs2200/=, & also from back side of my paint pocket they had also taken away my purse in red colour, in which Rs.10,000/= and some other change notes, Original CNIC # 41306-2449844-3 & Sindh Bar Council Registration Card bearing LC No.2790, therafter I rushed at P.S Cantonment, hyderabad & reported such incident lodged NC report against three unknown dacoit persons.
Therefore, my request is that kindly guide me through proper channel & provide me list as well as record of such stolen mobile phone from digital communication centre hyderabad, as i may be compansated & those culprits can be arrested by tressing such IMEI number provided as above mentioned.
