How to Block your Mobile Phone:
To block your mobile phone call at
021-5682222, 6583334 to CPLC (Citizen Police Liaison Committee)
or
Police 15,
Best One you can also
call directly to PTA at the following number 0800-25625.
They will get some basic info and the IMEI number of your
lost mobile set. They will register IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity)
of your cell phone and will request all the mobile operators to block this IMEI on
their networks.
You can also fax your complaint to CPLC at 021-5683336 or can
send an email to PTA at imei@pta.gov.pk or visit the site which is www.cplc.org.pk
IMEI is a number which is unique to every GSM mobile phone. It is usually found
printed on or underneath the phone’s battery and warranty card. IMEI of any set
can also be found by dialing the sequence *#06# into the phone. The IMEI number
is used by the GSM network to identify valid devices and therefore can be used to
stop a stolen phone from accessing the network. For example, if a mobile phone is
stolen, the owner can call his/her network provider and instruct them to “block” the
phone using its IMEI number. This renders the phone useless, regardless of whether
the phone’s SIM is changed.

The cplc numbers are useless. they always busy. Either these numbers are for emergency purposes but they are using those for their own purpose. This is just waste of time to call cplc. by your own gun to face the criminals.

When we register a complain with CPLC and give them our IMEI number what is the process the CPLC uses to recover the cell phone because once the IMEI number has been de-activiated how can CPLC trace the mobile. I have also heard that IMEI numbers can be re-activated if you have good sources and back-up.

this is of sure that there is a method to enter IEMI number according to PTA> but this is not possible to block such kind a number as number of IEMI unblock software are available in market and police and other authorities are unable to stop them. so when you loss your cell phone , there is no hope to get it back in pakistan and rest of the world.
Few phones are now have the features of tracking. but you have to activate the tracker before using it. best of luck

i lost my mobile last night now i want to block IMEI number of my mobile. how can it is possible?
My Sim has been blocked and duplicate is issued on 14th Nov at 11AM I noticed it on 15th Nov when I turned on the number. I called Jazz help line to block it and called PTA numbers 0800-55055 and 0800-25625, but to my surprise after several tries no one received my calls, Now what else we can do.
My sim stolen has number 0301-3100060 and my contact number is 0300-5222788, I hope some one from PTA read this and can help me in this issue.
I pray Allah, may these responsible companies learn to act at time, than its too late. ( Aamin )

thanks for such a nice information. i was too much worried abt my cell. i just got inf from here and did block my cell. The CPLC staff is very indecent and sluggish one. PTA staff is very good. I just make one call to PTA and they listen my complaint. to CPLC i make 5 calls but they are very bad people. even they do not listen me completly. just say call on another no and call drop.
