PTCL Broadband has doubled your speed at no extra cost to all new and existing customers in celebration of 23rd March along with PTCL Smart TV to be Free till June 2009 in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
PTCL management pleased to announce the following tariff for broadband internet facilities for its valued customers, with effect from March 23rd 2009. The existing package of 512Kbps will not be offered to new customers. Existing 512Kbps packages customers will be upgraded to 1MB package, 1MB to 2MB and customers of 2MB will be upgraded to 4MB.
Experience the Internet at its fastest with high-speed access from Broadband Pakistan, simultaneously, enjoy Voice service over the same telephone line without any extra cabling connections! Broadband Pakistan offers DSL service with unmatched reliability, affordability and connectivity.
PTCL is now offering its Broadband service in more than 130 cities throughout Pakistan. PTCL broadband has made Kbps speeds obsolete by upgrading all packages to Mbps. The minimum package speed offered by PTCL is now 1 Mbps.
All existing user still paying Rs 1199/= per month for a DSL 512K connection will now be upgraded to 1 Mbps connection at no extra charge. The same goes for existing 1Mbps and 2Mbps connects, these will be upgraded to 2Mbps and 4Mbps connections at existing rates. Then as per news latest breaking stories, this step taken by PTCL will make PTCL the fastest and the largest Broadband service in Pakistan.

I live in ISLAMABAD (CAPITAL OF ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN, I guess) and have applied for the PTCL broadband connection twice and now thinking of applying for 3rd time and last time. PTCL claims that within 15 days, lets assume 15 WORKING DAYS, BUT couldn’t get any response from PTCL.
If PTCL is not giving broadban in Islamabad and Rawalpindi (some of friends applied in Rwp too but did not get one), then I ask just one thing…………”Why does PTCL advertise broadband type of things in electronic and print media????”

am from karachi, and was going through the internet to see if there are other people frustrated with ptcl service. I applied for a new connection on 22nd July 2009, and today is 12th august 2009 and despite PTCL advertising the new connection in 15 days, am the victim of their false statements.
its been more than 15 days, and no new connection as yet. i applied for a new connection+broadband+smart TV
i have been on other forums too and checked out that almost 95% people who have written on the internet are annoyed with PTCL. most of those messages were written somewhere in 2008, am not sure if PTCL has gone any better since then.
I truely feel like calling them and cancelling my order now… or if thats not possible, just not let the lineman enter my premises, and tell him that i never ordered ptcl. Coz, to be very honest, i feel that if ptcl is slow in the start, how would they manage to give me a prompt customer service after i have start paying their huge bills?
am very much confused, can’t really do anything except having my fingers crossed for the connection.

I want to ask you that how i can share the Ptcl broad band service with any one like my neighbour. Tell me the best way for sharing ir because its price is very high and i cannot bear it. Dear Sir, I want to share with my friend who is at 20 meter distance I asure that he is situate at 10 meter distance the wire will be consuem 20 meter tell me what type of wire i use for sharing and the best way for me. What will be its effact on my downloading speed. Who will be best in downloading i or my neighbour tell me plz plz plz .

Dear you have to use a swithc and a ‘swithc to pc’ cable.

i am using PTCL broadband since last three years,my pakage is 1 MB,but never get speed like 1MB and if i got some problem then no body listen you even you visit their office and they took min. 15 to 25 days to resolve it after bundle of your complaint,3rd class customer service they have,they just write down your complaint but did not take any action,you have to wait 2/3 weeks for rectification,
