Its so good if it works poperly so.. but I’ve upgrated my evo 3.1 Mbps to Nitro 9.3 Mbps, but there is no difference between 3.1 Mpbs Rev A & 9.3 Mpbs Rev B.. May be my area Malir Khokerapar is not upgrated to Rev B Network. so kindly upgrade my area to Rev B 9.3 Mpbs Nitro.. If you do this so I will be very thankful to you..

I had used the evo up to 12 months and paid every month Rs 2000 via scratch cards, why I purchased the evo? I supposed that PTCL is our national Flag carrier company and it will revise the rates to minimum to facilitate the peoples of Pakistan, but soon i realize that like other companies in Pakistan, looters are also sitting in this company and they don’t have interest in our country or its peoples, after waiting a long time I and all my friends had thrown the evo USB and using other available sources which are much cheaper than our beloved PTCL. it is also be noted that according to my knowledge, maximum peoples are shifting from PTCL services to other available cheap companies and it seems that soon evo will became a facility for PTCL employs.

Evo Nitro and Evo both are WiMax based. The major limitation of WiMax is that it cannot go beyond 8Mbps per sector. Ideally if there are 8 users in a sector and use the internet for downloading through out 24 hrs. They will get 1Mbps per user. 8 Mbps is shared to around 250 users roughly in each sector by all WiMax providing companies including PTCL. You must see EVO and EVO Nitro has a plus point that u get average speed but 80% mobility. Where as in PTCL DSL Broadband u get 100% speed but 0% mobility. So choice is yours. If u r at fixed location go for PTCL Broadband with a link of 1Mbps u get average speed of 800 Kbps with modulation set to GMDT in your router. But EVO has average speed of 200 Kbps and Nitro has 400Kbps at full signals. U will never get 7Mbps. For that u have to wait for all the users of your sector to sleep except u.

I think we should wait for Mobile Broadband which is now available in developed countries based on HSDPA 7Mbps. Sprint and Wireless Verizon are 2 major companies providing this service through satellites also. So there is a chance u get this service in future from some ISP company in future. But I was astonished that this service is available in a third world country “Sudan”. And I used it for an year there. The major Mobile Broadband providers there are MTN and SudaniOne. I upgraded to Nitro and had a guess that its average speed will be around 1Mbps as PTCL WiMax tower is next to my street. But unfortunately its average speed is just 400Kbps even setting the modulation to EVDO only in Network Setting. Unfortunately they just like other company only concentrate on revenue and not on customer care or QoS. Where as as a good Managing Organization, companies give top priority to QoS. I know we all can get much much good speed but unfortunately that is only reserved for VIPS of this country. They set Committed information Rate CIR quite low for us. And much high for those who have already ruined the ground floor of our country.
