PTA Sets Cellular Mobile Network Quality of Service (QoS) Standards

With the large growth in Cellular Mobile Networks, The issue for consumers was up time and reliability of service with no scale of measuring the quality.PTA also fined networks in past on event like Eid but it was nothing more than show off.
Some how PTA has compiled a draft which some set of standards know as QoS (Quality of Service)
Key pints for QoS Standards are:

  • Network down-time for cellular companies should not exceed 1 percent mark, (relatively high as compared to global standards)
  • Grade of service or (the probability that the end customer can access the mobile services
    when requested while it is offered by display of the network indicator on the mobile Equipment), in any case should be 98 percent or higher.
  • Voice Quality: Under PESQ Algorithm ITU-T P .862.
  • Accessibility of SMS Service: Greater than 99 percent
  • SMS Delivery Time: Less than 8 seconds
  • Call Connection Time: Should be less than or equal to 5 seconds
  • Call Completion Ratio: Should be higher than 98 percent

2nd Method:
For All Networks:- Simply Send A Blank Sms To 667
