The prizes include a daily prize of Rs.100,000, a weekly prize of Rs.500,000, free fuel for one year for 10 winners, free airtime of 1000 On-net minutes for 300 winners and a Grand Prize of Rs.1 Crore for the lucky winner.
How to Participate in Quiz:

Recently PTCL established proper system to handle complaints online via Email Support@ptcl.net.pk, for those customers who want to submit their complain online they can use this feature.

To ease-up inquiring for the customers of Karachi, Pakistan Telecommunication Company (PTCL) has established a customer support service through which the clients would be facilitated with a prompt response. Now, the customers can write to Karachi. Rapid. Support@ptcl.net.pk if they do not get a response in the expected time from the PTCL maintenance team.

The e-mail address can also be used to address new service provisioning delays, disclosed SEVP Business Zone South PTCL Abdullah Yousef Abdullah. “Our customers and their needs are the focal point of every decision and action we take,” he said, adding that the initiative would ensure that all customer concerns get proper management attention.

He encouraged the customers to use 1218 to register their concerns. He also highlighted that customers can apply for PTCL services including Telephone, Broadband, Smart TV and EVO (wireless broadband) by calling 0800-8-0800 for faster provisioning of service.

The feature of 1218 is still available as earlier. :)

First Pakistan-made cell phone would be available in the market within a year, Secretary of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom Naguibullah Malik has said.

Naguibullah Malik said:-

“Dialogue with China and British companies in this regard is underway and the first made-in-Pakistan mobile handset would be available in the market within a year.”

On question, he said the government was taking all possible measures to boost the IT sector. The secretary said the government was well aware of the problems being faced by the IT sector. “We will address all the problems of the IT sector,” he added.

Rioting Causes Major Telecom Disruption Across Pakistan

There have been a serious damage to PTCL’s backhaul fiber optic system which has caused a major outage for internet /telco systems in PK specially Lahore. ISP’s using TW1 backbone are working fine at the moment but all other ISPs behind PIE/PTCL backbone are suffering from this. I have managed to write these lines due to a satellite link around.

Initial reports are coming in that one of the Telco exchange in Karachi (perhaps Marson or Cantt.) is the center point for this outage.

So, It means our internet is also not secure to use ? My all surprise work for new year 2008 my sites is F*cked Up Now!
