Wateen offering Loan for Customers

WateenWateen recently introduced customer loan service to facilitate the existing customers. Wateen users can call helpline 111-365-111 to get loan from them, after proper verification they will process loan for user.

Wateen Loan Conditions

  • Customer can avail loan for minimum Rs.25 and maximum Rs 100 within a Billing cycle. (Customer can get Rs. 25 four times within a billing cycle or vice versa up to maximum Rs. 100)
  • Denomination for Loan amounts are Rs, 25, 50, 75 and 100.
  • Loan amount will be automatically deducted by the system after 72 hours from customer’s account.
  • Loan Facility will only be given to Prepaid Customers.
  • Loan amount will be automatically deducted by the system after 72 hours from customer’s account.

Pakistan Gets ‘World’s Largest’ WiMAX Network

Wateen WiMAX Motorola Deploys WiMAX for Wateen Telecom-Pakistan in Major Cities in Nine Months
3GSM World Congress 2007 – 13 February 2007– Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT) today announced that it has deployed Wateen Telecom’s WiMAX network in 17 major cities across Pakistan, including Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore. The two companies have also carried out end-to-end voice and data calls over the network.

Wateen Telecom, part of Warid Telecom International, is using Motorola’s WiMAX technology to provide wireless fixed broadband data services for residential and corporate use. The WiMAX network is a crucial part of Wateen Telecom’s vision to create a world class communications network in Pakistan as it provides a cost effective and fast-to-deploy broadband solution.

Just nine months after the contract was awarded, Motorola has designed, supplied and deployed its WiMAX infrastructure, utilising IMS core technology in preparation for Wateen to offer voice, data, Internet and multimedia services to its subscribers.

“We set ourselves very ambitious targets and timelines,” says Tariq Malik, chief executive officer, Wateen Telecom. “Having Motorola design, supply and deploy our WiMAX network has given us a world class network in minimal time. At the same time, we have been able to focus on building other parts of our business. Similarly Motorola is taking control of the network on our behalf under a managed services contract.”
